In monologue with John McHale

Poem written by J.K.

date of publication: March 27 2022

John is an artist,
universal and independent
living dreams, visions, and fantasy
indeed, an artist, don’t you see?

everything is blurred,
time and space
today and tomorrow, I’ll scream in disgrace:
everyone is an artist, that’s what they say!

but then why can’t I see?
everyone is an artist, that’s what they say!
so, hell, even when blind, give me a display!

say something John, let me become you
edgy and cool I’ll do the washers all new
today is the day, today I will finally become real
time is up, hell no I didn’t make that kind of deal

everyone is an artist, that’s what they say,
so please John let me be one,
even if just for today
